With just a week and change left until start, we wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that participants are eligible for some awards!

For anyone that shares fanworks, banners boasting a numerical summary of your contributions are available. Currently, we can host up to nine unique types of fanwork per banner. If you manage to create more than that, let us know and we will work with you to create a banner you're satisfied with.

For those who try something new with their fannish expression, you can request as many first medium tokens as desired. They will include your name of choice and whatever first [medium] you request (provided it's under ten characters long), be it fic, gifs, vids, meta, fanfoods, crafts, or anything else!

Finally, for anyone who completes a punch card, you may request a "punch out" sticker token that you can paste onto your banner, other tokens, icons, or wherever else you desire. Reminder that both commenters and creators are both eligible for punch card awards.

All awards can be requested upon event conclusion by filling out the Summary Form. They will be delivered as swiftly as possible and in order of request. Questions, comments, concerns? Comment on this post or send us an email at bagfishbang@gmail.com.

Feel free to join our community and/or follow us on tumblr [tumblr.com profile] bag-bang. We hope you join us for this round of Be a Goldfish!

With just two weeks until start, we wanted to take a moment to shine a light on something new we're trying this round: Punch Cards!

See Punch Cards )

The rules are simple: every week that you leave a comment on someone's work and/or share one of your own, you can punch, stamp, or otherwise mark this handy punch card.

You can do all comments, all works, or mix it up week to week. You can even challenge yourself to black out an entire card for both!

While technically speaking, these squares correspond to the weekly prompts, it's your choice as to how closely or loosely you adhere to that schedule. If you would like to follow the prompt schedule, comment on someone else's entry for that week's prompt (which may or may not be possible) or share one of your own.

All of this is completely optional and exists merely to provide an extra bit of fun, and a practical goal for those who desire it. Who doesn't need something to strive for sometimes?

Whether you mark a single square, or get a black out, share with us! Post your card or a link to your card to the community so we can all bask in your awesome fists of fury. Your fistabilities (this is a punching things reference. nothing else). We would especially love to see the works that led you to mark off each square, you may very well have the beginnings of a rec or masterlist!

We've provided both a full color digital card and a black and white printer-friendly card. For maximum quality you can download them from this drive folder (for printing we reccomend something wallet- to postcard-sized).

TGIF! Drumroll, please: welcome to the final week of the first-ever Be A Goldfish: A Ted Lasso Multimedia Microbang. We’ve had an incredible round, full of fun, friendship, and fanworks, and participants have collectively created over one hundred works! Let’s keep the spark alive in these last few days with two more prompts. Give one a whirl, try both, or mix it up and blend them. Write a fic, make art, or try something totally new! Check out our FAQ for inspiration.

How do people outside the Ted Lasso gang perceive the goings-on at AFC Richmond? Create with that external perspective in mind.

AND/OR:

Use the lyrics from a favourite song as inspiration for a work.

Feel free to brainstorm, discuss ideas, and make friends in our Discord, or let us know what you’re cooking up in the comments here or on tumblr. As always, we’re excited to see what you create. Stay curious!

Put your fins together for week seven of Be A Goldfish: A Ted Lasso Multimedia Microbang! We've had another week of fic, fun, fandom, and goldfish. How about another prompt to keep things fresh? Actually, how about two? Give one a whirl, try both, or mix it up and blend them!

Focus on a minor character. You know, a character who doesn’t get much love, or somebody who shows up for only an episode or two, or a background character. Who are they? What are they like? Why do you feel connected to them? Get nitty-gritty.

AND/OR:

Epistolary. Create a work in the medium of correspondence; a fic written in letters or emails, for example, or a manipulated text chain. Social media AUs work too.

Feel free to brainstorm, discuss ideas, and make friends in our Discord, or let us know what you’re cooking up in the comments here or on tumblr. We’re excited to see what you create this time. Stay curious!

It's Friday, fall in love! Welcome to week six of Be A Goldfish: A Ted Lasso Multimedia Microbang. Let's keep it fresh, fun, and friendly with another prompt:

Collaborate with another creative. Utilize our channel for locating betas and find somebody who wants to work together. A round-robin fic might be fun, but don’t be dissuaded from collaborating in other mediums, too; perhaps a collectively-created web weave or playlist. Buddy system!

Feel free to brainstorm, discuss ideas, and make friends in our Discord, or let us know what you’re cooking up in the comments here or on tumblr. We’re excited to see what you create. Stay curious!

Welcome to week five! We've reached the halfway mark of Be A Goldfish: A Ted Lasso Multimedia Microbang and we're still going strong! Let's keep things exciting with another prompt:

What is your least favourite Ted Lasso moment? Does it bother you from a plot perspective, or a characterisation point of view? How would you have done it differently if you were in charge? You’re the captain, now. Fix it!

Feel free to brainstorm, discuss ideas, and make friends in our Discord, or let us know what you’re cooking up in the comments here or on tumblr. We’re excited to see what you create. Don't forget to check out all the incredible works created for this event, which can be found right here on our Dreamwidth, on our tumblr, and in our AO3 collection! Stay curious.

Week four and we're feeling just fine! We've had another great week of Be A Goldfish: A Ted Lasso Multimedia Microbang. How about a prompt to keep things interesting?

Get out of your comfort zone. Explore the opposite of your usual jam; fluff writers, try angst. Colourful gifmakers, give moody, black and white, or subdued panels a whirl. Go against the grain.

Feel free to brainstorm, discuss ideas, and make friends in our Discord, or let us know what you’re cooking up in the comments here or on tumblr. We’re excited to see what you create. Stay curious!

TGIF! Welcome to week three of Be A Goldfish: A Ted Lasso Multimedia Microbang. We’ve had a great couple weeks thus far. Let’s keep that energy with another prompt:

Work in an alternate universe. How would characters from Ted Lasso function as pirates, or in the zombie apocalypse, or as ghost hunters? Any AU will do, though please remember we do not allow crossovers in this event.

Feel free to brainstorm, discuss ideas, and make friends in our Discord, or let us know what you’re cooking up in the comments here or on tumblr. We’re excited to see what you create. Stay curious!
