Additional Prompting Communities on DW

While we will be sharing some prompts throughout the challenge, we wanted to give folks some other avenues in which to find inspiration. Luckily, Dreamwidth is home to a very wide assortment of fanwork and prompting communities. This post links to some of the ones that we're aware of, many of which are ficlet and drabble prompting comms for anyone who's looking for a little extra inspiration.

Fic & Ficlets

• fffc: Hosts multiple flashfic events every month with bingos and other creative challenges
• sweetandshort: many monthly prompts, including a small bingo. Ficlets up to 500 words and icons.
• ficlet_zone: A new challenge is posted in the middle of every month. No deadlines!
• femslashficlets: Weekly prompts for femslash between 100 and 1,000 words.
• fic_promptly: Comment fic comm with challenge prompts nearly every day
• comment_fic: For posting and filling comment fic prompts written by other fans.

Drabbles

• anythingdrabble: A new prompt every Monday. Multiples allowed up to 500w.
• 100words: Another weekly drabble comm! New prompts every Tuesday.
• drabble_zone: A new prompt every Saturday. Single, double and triple drabbles only.
• emotion100: A drabble comm with emotion prompts.
• dove_drabbles: New monthly drabble prompts from Dove chocolate wrappers.

Bingo

• genprompt_bingo: Multimedia. Sign up for a card, make some stuff, bingo! Thats all there is to it.
  
• allbingo: Get a card from them or use a card from somewhere else and try for bingo. Links to loads of other bingo comms.
• ladiesbingo: Cards for writing about women and their relationships with other women. Loosely Bechdel based.

Multimedia and General Comms

• 1word1day: Exactly what it sounds like. Maybe the word of the day will inspire you!
• fan_flashworks: A new prompt every ten-ish days. Multimedia, any length, anything goes.
  
• trope_of_the_month: Also exactly what it sounds like!
  
• whatif_au: A new AU prompt every other month. No limits, no deadlines.
  
• polyamships: New prompts on the 14th of every month plus daily prompting for Multiamory March.
  
  
• tenminutesaday: Daily challenge to write for at least 10 minutes. Three challenge prompts a week.
  
• fic_rush: Monthly 48-hour writing challenges
  
• weekendwritingmarathon: Set a weekend wordcount goal. Hosts 1k1hr sprints on discord.
  
• vidding: For sharing any and all vids you've made.
  
• graphics: For sharing graphics, icons, banners, etc.
  
• iconcolors: Weekly color palette prompts for icon makers
  
• iconthat: Biweekly icon competitions
  
• screen_icons: A challenge comm for icon making.
